Probably a good thing for me really. Yesterday I went to watch cricket, that was after an anxious episode in the morning. I ended up with a nice suntan and it was an enjoyable day watching the first outdoor exchanges of the new English season.
You never get two days alike weather wise in England, and today proves it. Yesterday, sunny and warm, today grey and cloudy. But those grey clouds have a silver lining, the kids are on their school holidays so the traffic is markedly lighter than on a normal weekday.
Was tired last night, so it was an early night and the sleep was deep, hence my groggy state this morning. But no anxiety today! Strange but true. Like the flick of a switch.
To expand on the post title, I’m off to do some volunteering at the cafe today. It was a late call up as my colleague couldn’t make it, so two days in a row can’t be bad. Stops me from stagnating at home.
Also, I’ve managed to pick up a couple of games of cricket to umpire over the Easter weekend. That was very unexpected, but after getting out and watching yesterday, with the warmth of the sun and the sound of leather on willow, the interest starts to pick up. I hope to keep that interest going for some time; anxiety dependant of course.
