Clear and Present Vision….

Afternoon all. Quiet Sunday and Monday for me really, but then I have been fairly busy in the last ten days with one thing and another, so some down time is welcome.

My verifiocal lenses have been fitted to my glasses. I have to say that they are pretty damned good. Having to walk around without my glasses on (as the lenses were being fitted) was an interesting experience! Everything just seemed a bit different and my eyes, without their usual help, felt a little tired. Thankfully, the opticians rang me and I have the new lenses; close to perfect. I won’t have to keep taking the glasses on and off to read close text, and my distance vision will be unaffected.

There will be a touch of blurring to start with, but the difference is very stark, and much needed. All part of the ageing process, so I’m told. If you can’t beat em, join em!

The next thing to be under scrutiny will be my hearing. Eh? Quarter past nine…
