A dose of realism…..

Following on from my post about presentations on mental health, it’s important to note that whenever we deliver these presentations, we inject a healthy dose of realism.

No sugar coating or window dressing, we tell it like it is. And I think that’s a good way to be. People like realism, rather than fakery. Especially the classes of students we spoke to this morning. Being realistic and relating our experiences helps no end. And having mental illnesses makes you realistic. There’s no other choice. That’s why I enjoy doing what I do. It gives me enormous satisfaction and enjoyment to see others engage in what we say to them.
